41st Springville Salon Show

Just found out today, that my painting below, (Bucksin Gulch) was accepted into the Springville Salon show, at the Springville Museum of Art. On average, only 20% of the work entered is accepted. This is Utahs premier art showing. I'm excited for the show, and look forward to seeing many other nice works. Hope to see you there, May 5th, 7pm.

A new little 11x14. I used a new canvas on this piece. A much more rough texture, some type of "Russian landscape" canvas. I liked the way the paint went on, I felt it was a success. I am in the process of doing a larger painting from this study, adding a few background elements, etc..

5 Plates, finished-

Done. I've finished the last "plate" painting. It has been fun doing this work. The show should be a good one. I plan on attending, and seeing all the cool work. A couple of my good friends, Rob Colvin, Ron Russon, and Dave Meikle will also have work included. So if you get a chance, drop by and say "hello", and of course, buy some art!
