A Blast from the Past-
Recently, I was going through some things in the studio and stumbled upon this little painting. I thought it was quite interesting to take a look back and visually see the journey my work has taken in the last 7 years. This 7x5 was painted in Moab, using a palette knife, on my very first outside painting trip with my good friend and fellow painter, Rob Colvin. The date? August, 1999. Hope you enjoy, I'd love to hear the feedback.
This is a 5x8, oil on linen sketch. I am currently in the mode of creating a larger version of this little jewel. I have pushed the color and shapes on this one, trying to achieve a flowing composition while capturing the vivid colors of the area. If you'd like to purchase this piece call or email me. Thanks for looking.
I just wanted to give a heartfelt "Thanks" to all those this year who have supported me, collected my art and in general have contributed to my well-being. You know who you are, and you're awesome! I could have achieved nothing without you.
